The Point of Art Gallery
After 23 years of international banking, finance and marketing in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the U.S. with Citibank, Wells Fargo
and Bankers Trust...it was time for a change.
My wife is a full time professional artist. Her mediums are primarily acrylic applied with a palette knife and house portraits done in watercolor. For the last three years she has owned The Point of Art Gallery and Studio (http://www.ThePointofArt.net). The gallery focuses on her art,Georgia and Southern Artists. Much of the workshop content is based on current real live experiences with the 85 artists she has represented.
Additionally, while we were living in New Orleans, I helped her when she exhibited at two of the city's monthly art markets and a gallery in Bay St. Louis, MS. I noticed that although her colleagues produced great art, they were having some challenges making a living as artists and running their own businesses.
I decided to use my banking and marketing experience to create an
art-centric, interactive and short workshop. It would give the artists
the tools they needed to make their wonderful art become their successful business....whether it's part-time, supplemental income
or full-time.
Thus "Art Biz" was created.
In three years, over 200 artists from Georgia and North Carolina
have taken the workshop. They have had a rewarding experience.
See "Artists Comments" for details.
